A former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver has received an illustrious honor in his football career outside of the NFL.
Earlier this week, former Steelers wide receiver Hakeem Butler was named the 2026 UFL Offensive Player of the Year for his league-leading 641 receiving yards, as well as recording high marks with 71.2 receiving yards per game and 22.1 yards per reception.
Butler, who previously spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Cincinnati Bengals, signed with Pittsburgh in May 2023 but suffered an undisclosed hand injury during training camp. He was waived with an injury designation and joined the St. Louis Battlehawks for a second stint soon after.

Butler is set to be honored during the UFL Awards on Friday, June 12, and while his time in Pittsburgh was short-lived, we at Steelers Wire are thrilled to see the veteran wideout finding success in his career.
