Former Notre Dame linebacker Bodie Kahoun, who is now at Boston College, was transported to a hospital for further evaluation after an injury on the field against Rutgers on Friday.
ESPN reported that Kahoun, a 6-foot, 2-inch redshirt sophomore, assisted with a tackle in the second quarter, leaned in with his head then immediately hit the turf and stayed on his back for quite some time.

Trainers and medical representatives rushed to care for Kahoun. Personnel signaled for a stretcher, strapped Kahoun onto a board and lifted onto the stretcher to put him into an ambulance that backed up near the 50-yard line.
Boston College Football posted on social media that Kahoun “has movement in all extremities and is being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.”
The Eagles’ faithful at Alumni Stadium erupted into a standing ovation when Kahoun gave a thumbs up to the crowd before the ambulance took him to the hospital.
“Very tough,” Boston College coach Bill O’Brien said via ESPN. “He’s just an awesome guy. You can see what that meant to the team.”

Kahoun played in 12 games for the Irish in two seasons before he transferred to Boston College for the 2026 campaign. He made his first career start against Cincinnati last weekend, recording three tackles for the Eagles.
Notre Dame is scheduled to host Boston College on Nov. 14.
