Some NFL careers are remembered for longevity. Others are remembered for Cinderella stories, moments, and singular accomplishments. Parris Campbell may not have spent long with the Philadelphia Eagles, but fans will always remember him as part of a championship roster.
After seven NFL seasons spent with four organizations, Campbell officially announced his retirement on May 27, 2026, bringing an end to a professional journey that featured flashes of explosiveness, difficult injury setbacks, and ultimately, a Super Bowl ring.

Campbell entered the league with plenty of promise after a standout collegiate career with the Ohio State Buckeyes. His résumé there spoke for itself. He helped them capture a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2015 while earning multiple All-Big Ten honors later in his career.
The Indianapolis Colts selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, hoping his speed and versatility would make him a dangerous offensive weapon. Injuries, unfortunately, became part of his story early, but he still managed to carve out a respectable NFL career.
Stops were made with the Colts and an Eagles stint sandwiched between stints with two of Philadelphia’s most hated rivals: the New York Giants and, eventually, the Dallas Cowboys. Across 50 regular-season games and 27 starts, Campbell totaled 123 receptions, 1,117 receiving yards, six receiving touchdowns, and 366 return yards.

His most meaningful stop, at least in Philadelphia, came during the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX championship season. Though he wasn’t the focal point of the offense, Campbell contributed depth, professionalism, and experience to a roster that ultimately finished the job. He also appeared in three playoff games during that postseason run, and that will forever tie his name to one of the proudest moments in franchise history.
After appearing in just one game during the 2025 season, however, Campbell ultimately decided it was time to walk away from football altogether. Not every player leaves behind Hall of Fame statistics or decade-long runs with one organization. Some simply become part of championship history, and in Philadelphia, that alone guarantees Parris Campbell will always be remembered fondly.
He has created a bond with a group of coaches and players who did something special, so he can hold his head high knowing he leaves the game having forever played a role in one of the proudest chapters in Eagles history.
