Burnaby singing star Michael Bublé celebrated his 51st birthday in true Vancouver fashion by enjoying a fully loaded White Spot Pirate Pak.

As his hit song Feeling Good plays, Bublé is handed a pair of dark sunglasses to put on and then lights a candle like a cigarette and places it in the top of his burger in the Pirate Pak.

“Today’s my birthday. I have the palette (sic) of a child but the free-will of a grown man. Less frosting. More fries,” the Grammy and Juno-winning crooner said in an Instagram post.

A trip to a family friendly White Spot makes nothing but sense as Bublé is the father to four kids. He’s also a member of the Vancouver Giants hockey team ownership group headed by majority owner Ron Toigo, whose family controlled private company Shato Holdings Ltd. owns the venerable restaurant chain.

Aside from the WHL team, Bublé is also a minority stakeholder in Shato Holdings’ Tsawwassen Springs golf and housing development.

Bublé was recently in the news after posting to his IG account heartfelt posts after Dolly Parton died on Aug. 25 at age 80. He posted a black-and-white photograph of Parton with the words: “What a life. What a songwriter. What a woman. I feel incredibly lucky to have shared even a small moment of it with her. Rest easy, Dolly. You were loved, and you always will be.”

He followed up that message with a picture of a letter Parton sent to Bublé requesting he do a duet with her.

Bublé will be back onstage Sept. 22 when he and his band will officially open Guadalajara, Mexico’s newly renovated Coliseo GNP Seguros (formerly Estadio 3 de Marzo).
