Does it look like Caitlin Clark is playing her best right now? The Indiana Fever star feels she is.
Clark missed four games through mid-July with back issues as the Fever went 14-10. In the 16 games since, she has averaged 25.9 points and 9.3 assists with 43.1% 3-point shooting, and the Fever have gone 12-4.

In the past two, she has added to her WNBA-record 30-points-plus, 10-assists-plus performances, giving her six total and lifting her into the MVP conversation, along with teammate Kelsey Mitchell.
“I feel really good. I probably feel the best I’ve ever felt in my career and from a confidence standpoint, too,” Clark said after the Fever beat the Connecticut Sun 111-91 on Thursday, Aug. 28.
Clark’s 2025 season was cut short due to a groin injury, and she entered 2026 with back flare-ups. She has been on the Fever injury list all season, but almost always as “probable.”
“I think it was a battle for me the first 20 games for me to really find my confidence again, mostly in my body,” she said. “Now I feel like I’m just playing, I’m not thinking. I’m just, ‘Next play, next play, next play.’ And that’s when I play my best basketball.”

She carries season averages of 22.5 points and 8.4 assists and 37.3% 3-point shooting into the Women’s World Cup break, where she and Fever teammate Aliyah Boston are on the Team USA roster.
