Fans showed Vancouver actor Hudson Williams plenty of love when he showed up at TIFF.

The actor, who has been red hot since he burst onto screens as Shane Hollander in the wildly successful gay hockey romance Heated Rivalry — which is currently shooting season two in Toronto and Montreal — signed autographs and took pictures with fans at the Toronto festival prior to the world premiere of his new Crave TV series Yaga at the Bell Lightbox on Tuesday night.

Yaga is an upcoming supernatural mystery thriller eight-part series created by Kat Sandler. It adapts her 2019 stage play and reimagines the Slavic folklore legend of Baba Yaga as a modern whodunit. The series will hit Crave Oct. 23.

Shot in Victoria last February through to the end of March, Yaga follows private investigator Rapp (Schitt’s Creek’s Noah Reid) in a small coastal town as he probes the disappearance of Henry Park (Williams), the young heir to a powerful commercial fishery. The series also stars the Matrix’s Carrie-Anne Moss.
