This week, the community of Kansas City Chiefs fans at Arrowhead Pride had their “Arrowhead pride” put to the test.
Kind of.
On Wednesday, readers were asked whether they would extend the time they have left to visit Arrowhead Stadium as a Chiefs fan, with the sacrifice being the chance for the franchise to win any more Super Bowls while quarterback Patrick Mahomes is still leading the way.

It was an overwhelming majority in the votes, 95% of voters making it clear that the quest for more titles to add to Mahomes’ and head coach Andy Reid’s legacy is far more important.
On Thursday, readers were asked a fun hypothetical: if you and a big group had the chance at an all-inclusive suite to watch a Chiefs game, would you use it to watch the last game at Arrowhead Stadium? Or the first one at the Chiefs’ new, yet-to-be-built stadium in Kansas City, Kansas?
It was a closer call in this poll, the last game at Arrowhead holding a 53% advantage at the time of this writing.

“Missouri” is nowhere in the name “Kansas City Chiefs”.
Even more than that, Washington plays in Maryland. No team plays in New York City. No one threatened to boycott the Irving Cowboys.
I realize there is a Missouri/Kansas rivalry for so many things, but sheesh, it’s not like Kansas is “Denver” or Broncos fans. They are Chiefs fans. They are part of the Kansas City metroplex.Playing in Arrowhead forever was never a realistic expectation.
Be happy Arrowhead lasted as long as it did, longer than most teams do in one stadium.
As much as I love Arrowhead, teams must adapt to the times and the Hunt family got a steal from Kansas for a new domed stadium. I will miss Arrowhead, but Super Bowl wins added to this franchise is the primary goal for teams.
Hi, I’m a Chiefs fan. I like the Chiefs. I watched them in Municipal, at Arrowhead, and hundreds of times on TV.
I care way more about the team’s success than whatever building they play in.
Been a fan since 1966. More Super Bowls is way better. How about we get 3 or more while we are still at Arrowhead?
Yeah, nothing like bragging about how your team played in Arrowhead vs being SB champions. I’m sure Lions fans get off on saying they’ve played at Ford field last 25 years and foreseeable future.
I saw the last meaningful game in Municipal and the first in Arrowhead. Both were losses to the Dolphins. No real bargain either way, but the longest game in NFL history is the one I remember. So give me the last game in Arrowhead. Maybe it will be a playoff game. That would sure beat a home opener in KCK.
I think I’m with Brenton. In the stands for the last game at Arrowhead. A suite at the new would be an awesome deal – I’ll take the one with Travis, Taylor, and their kids if they’ll let me babysit.
I’d teach the kids new words if the Chiefs were losing, so it’s probably not THAT good of an idea.
Neither? I mean I’d love to have the everything paid for big suite experience with my friends and family for a normal game, but the last game at Arrowhead and the first game in the new stadium will both be electric and meaningful, and I’d want to fully experience it in the stands with the crowd. I wouldn’t want to be in a suite for either of them.
