Watch: Rob Lowe Jokes He Has “Low Expectations” for Father’s Day at World Cup 2026
As Pete Davidson marks his first Father’s Day, we know how he feels about dad life.
It’s “f–king awesome,” the comedian, who welcomed daughter Scottie Rose with then-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt in December, told People in March. “It is exhausting and rewarding and cute.”
A few months before he and wife Hailee Steinfeld welcomed their first child together, announcing their baby girl’s arrival April 2, Josh Allen called being a dad “the most important thing I’ll ever be in my life.”
“I know I love being a football player,” the athlete told reporters in January, “and I love being a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. But I’m looking forward to this one.”
And such is the takeaway—that life will never be the same once you’re playing for Team Dad—as Allen, Davidson, Justin Theroux, Chris Evans, Charles Melton, Charlie Puth and a number of other stars celebrate Father’s Day for the first time on June 21.
“For the first time, my music seems to be interwoven with my real-life stuff,” Puth, dad to 3-month-old son Jude with wife Brooke Sansone Puth, said on The Jennifer Hudson Show in March. “I just feel the most me, ever.”

And Melton, who welcomed a daughter with Camille Summers-Valli in March, has said that having a child at home affected what roles he wanted to take immediately.
“There’s certain things where I’m like, I know what this is gonna require of me, and I don’t feel like giving that right now,” the Riverdale alum told Men’s Health. “Because I need more time just looking at my child fart and burp. It’s like being an athlete. You gotta enjoy the offseason.”
He should compare notes with Theroux, who told E! on April 20—two days after wife Nicole Brydon Bloom shared that she’d given birth to their son—that he was “in heaven.”
“It’s so hard to even encapsulate what it feels like,” Theroux added. “But it’s the most wonderful thing that’s ever happened to me. I can’t think of anything that tops it.”
Or, as he put it on Today a few days later, “I just love looking into his eyeballs.”
