On Saturday, the Falcons announced they have signed starting left guard Matthew Bergeron to a four-year contract extension worth $96 million, including $60 million guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Bergeron was entering the final year of his rookie contract and would have become a free agent after the season.
