The naira on Tuesday sustained an appreciation rally against the United States dollar at the official market.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the naira strengthened on Tuesday to
N1,356.16 per dollar, up from N1,356.89 traded on Monday.
This means that on a day-to-day basis the local currency gained N0.73 against the dollar.
Meanwhile, at the black market, the naira remained flat at N1410 per dollar on Tuesday, the same rate it exchanged the previous day.
DAILY POST reports that in the past two days under review, the naira has slightly edged out the dollar at the currency market.
This comes despite the continued decline of the country’s foreign reserves, which dropped to $48.72 billion as of 13th April 2026 from $48.81 billion recorded last weekend.
