Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi has reflected on Beşiktaş’ hard-fought home draw against Crystal Palace, DAILY POST reports.
The Black Eagles maintained their unbeaten run in the group phase of the UEFA Europa League with a hard-earned 2-2 home draw against the Premier League club on Thursday night.
Ndidi opened scoring for the hosts on the stroke of half-time.
It was the midfielder’s first goal of the season for Beşiktaş.
Crystal Palace responded with two quick goals after the break through Yéremi Pino and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Substitute, Junior Olaïtan, however, rescued a point for Beşiktaş in the closing stages of the game.
Ndidi was satisfied with his team’s overall performance in the keenly contested encounter.
“I can say it was a good match. We started slowly in the first half, but we gained momentum and scored the goal.
“The same thing happened in the second half. Overall, it was a good match,” the Nigerian said after the game.
