AC Milan head coach, Ruben Amorim has provided an update on Samuel Chukwueze’s fitness after the Nigerian winger picked up a hip injury, DAILY POST reports.
Chukwueze missed Wednesday morning training session as AC Milan continued preparations for their UEFA Europa League encounter against Premier League side Bournemouth.
The Nigerian international was expected to undergo a specialist examination on Wednesday to establish the extent of the injury.
There are growing concerns that the setback could keep the winger out of action for several weeks or potentially months, depending on the severity of the problem.
However, Amorim has confirmed that Chukwueze’s condition will be assessed over the coming days before a clearer picture emerges regarding his recovery and availability.
“Tomorrow we will see the starting XI. Gonçalo has nothing serious. Chukwueze is a little bit different. I will see in the next few days. We are going to assess Chukwueze,” Amorim was quoted as saying by Football Italia.
