Chelsea manager, Xabi Alonso, has revealed the half-time team talk that saw his team defeat Manchester United 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Blues bounced back from a Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Liverpool to take three points and jump into the top four places.
Despite a tough first half, goals from Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer clinched maximum points for Alonso’s men.
“We are happy. The game had different moments. The first half was close: few chances for both teams,” Alonso told Sky Sports.
“At half-time we spoke about keeping control and said we will win the game if we keep the ball. It was a mature performance.”
Chelsea’s next game is a league fixture away to Sunderland.
