Manchester United have suffered a major injury blow ahead of their Premier League clash with Aston Villa this weekend.
This comes after midfielder Carlos Baleba sustained a hamstring injury during the Red Devils’ 3-2 win against Roma in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Man United disclosed this in a post via their website on Wednesday, insisting that an update will be provided in the coming days regarding the player’s situation.
The Cameroon international started a match alongside England’s Kobbie Mainoo for the first time in midfield.
The pair provided energy and skill on the ball as goals from Bruno Fernandes and a brace from Matheus Cunha gave Michael Carrick’s side the victory against Roma.
Baleba was replaced by Youri Tielemans, who produced an excellent performance against the Serie A side.
It’s yet to be seen if Baleba will recover on time to play for Man United against Villa at Old Trafford.
