Luis Hernandez brought the party to the Meta APEX and may be bringing a UFC contract home to Miami.
A Miami-Dade Police Department officer, Hernandez (8-0) took one to give one during his Dana White’s Contender Series 92 appearance Tuesday as he submitted France’s Hugo Guillon (7-2) by rear-naked choke at 1:01 of Round 2.

Hernandez had success early with his body shots, however Guillon found ways to weather the storm and fire back. In Round 2, Guillon dropped Hernandez with a punch and went for an anaconda choke. Moments later, Hernandez maneuvered to take the back instead – and locked in a choke of his own.
Hernandez’s police department was shown celebration in complete chaos as dozens of his fellow officers cheered him on. In celebration, Hernandez did a little dance involving air pistols and a nod to WWE legends Degeneration X with a crotch-chop.
UFC fans may recognize Hernandez’s name from his in-cage altercation with current middleweight champion Sean Strickland for Las Vegas-based regional promotion Tuff-N-Uff in 2025. Strickland was fined and suspended as a result.
