Watch: Dwayne Johnson Throws KATSEYE-Themed Party for Daughter Tiana’s 8th Birthday
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one gnarly girl dad.
As his daughter Tiana turned 8 on April 17, the Jumanji actor shared a glimpse into the KATSEYE-themed birthday party that he and wifeLauren Hashian planned for their youngest.
It was clear that the couple went all out for the occasion, and Dwayne made sure to highlight that in a sweet Instagram post on April 20. The 53-year-old included two videos from Tiana’s big day, including one where he carried a homemade cake to his daughter as he, Lauren and her friends sang “Happy Birthday.”
Surrounding the party guests was a bunch of purple KATSEYE decor, including posters, banners, balloons, plates, napkins and a glitter backdrop.
But perhaps most notable was the KATSEYE-themed cake, which Dwayne made sure to give its proper moment in the spotlight.
At the end of the first clip, he zoomed in on the sweet treat, which had “Gnarly,” one of the girl group’s biggest songs, written across the top, along with a glittery purple “8” candle, a tiny sandwich and a KATSEYE birthday card. The sides of the cake also had other song titles like “PINKY UP” and “Gabriela” written in pink icing.
In the second video, the Fast & Furious alum captured a special moment from before the party, in which his and Lauren’s elder daughter Jasmine, 10, carefully designed her sister’s birthday cake.
Dwayne showed off a closer look at the dessert before flashing the camera back to himself and giving a chef’s kiss.

“Happy Birthday Tia,” he captioned the post. “8 summers old and our anchor of pure love, joy, crazy humor and always down to put in the work, and step outta the box! We love U baby girl.”
Dwayne—who is also dad to Simone, 24, with ex Dany Garcia—has never been shy to lean into being a girl dad. In fact, the former WWE wrestler previously proved he was the MVP of having daughters when he showed off the makeover that his girls gave him.
“I’ve learned over time that you look back on life’s decisions and say: That was a good idea, that was a great idea, or…what the %#$@ was I thinking?” he wrote in an Instagram video last July. “And it’s proving to be a good thing that I have a very large head with A LOT of ‘canvas’ to use for these little chicken’s enjoyment and artistic make-over endeavors.”
Though his makeover included purple eyeshadow all over his head, gold glitter covering his eyes and neck, and a messy pale lip, Dwayne remained good-natured about it.
“Our little ones are only little once, so bring it on ladies,” he teased, before adding, “Daddy is fearless.”

And that fearlessness is a trait he’s now hoping to pass along to his girls. After all, he previously joked that Tiana and Jasmine “are tornadoes and very passionate about how they feel.”
“Lauren and I like raising them in an environment and a culture where there are no limits to life,” he told People in 2021. “You can do anything you want, and you can achieve anything you want. However, I need you to be flexible with how we get there.”
