The media renaissance of Drew Brees continues unabated.
Not only will the former New Orleans Saints quarterback embark on his first full season in the booth alongside Adam Amin for the NFL on Fox, but the 47-year-old will also co-host SiriusXM’s Let’s Go! alongside Matthew Stafford, Jim Gray and Peter King, effectively replacing Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby

It remains unclear why Crosby is departing as a co-host, though he continues to grow his media footprint, co-hosting The Rush Podcast with Brogan Roback and Darien Terrell. As does Brees, who spent much of the past year publicly guaranteeing his own greatness well before he’d actually done the work to substantiate it. Before joining Fox to replace Mark Sanchez, Brees hadn’t called an NFL game since his tenure at NBC ended somewhat unceremoniously, though he’s insisted all along it was his own decision rather than the network’s.
Brees joined NBC right after retiring in 2021, with expectations he’d eventually take over Cris Collinsworth’s Sunday Night Football seat. Instead, he called Notre Dame games on Saturdays and worked the Football Night in America studio show. NBC put him on a playoff game that January, Raiders-Bengals on Wild Card weekend, and it didn’t go particularly well.
In his eventual return to the broadcast booth after four years away, Brees avoided the interminable dead air that had sunk his earlier stint, showed a real and natural feel for the rhythm of a broadcast alongside partner Adam Amin, and displayed the kind of football fluency that comes from having actually played the position at an elite level, even if he still fell measurably short of the top-three analyst status he’d spent years publicly guaranteeing he’d inevitably reach.
Also joining SiriusXM this season are New York Giants defensive tackle Shelby Harris, New York Jets linebacker Demario Davis, and free agent wide receiver Brandin Cooks, who will rotate as hosts alongside Carolina Panthers long snapper J.J. Jansen and Los Angeles Chargers fullback Alec Ingold on the weekly program The Players’ Point, billed as the only radio show hosted by active NFL players. Adam Thielen, who retired earlier this year following a 13-year NFL career, has likewise signed on as a SiriusXM host. He’ll be heard Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon ET on Airing It Out alongside Bob Papa.
