Corinthians are losing 2-0 to Mirassol this Sunday (3), in the closing match of the 14th round of the 2026 Brasileirão.
The first half at Maião, in the countryside of São Paulo state, has been LIVELY, huh!

You can even “choose” which controversy caught your attention the most.
Let’s get to tonight’s “contenders”:
1) Before the 15-minute mark, referee Matheus Delgado Candançan showed a straight red card to Edson Carioca for a tackle from behind.
After a VAR review, however, the sending-off was overturned, and the Mirassol forward was shown only a yellow card.
2) A few minutes later, Carlos Eduardo was pulled inside the box. The controversial penalty, however, was not reviewed by VAR.
3) After Rodrigo Garro was fouled from behind, coach Fernando Diniz called the referee over three times, but was ignored.

The Timão manager then, in an “outburst” of rage, called the referee a “masked motherf@cker.”
“Hey, Candançan? Hey, Candançan? Hey, Candançan? You masked motherf@cker! A head that big! I’m calling you here and you can’t hear me?” Diniz shouted from the sideline.
