Delaware woman allegedly attacked storage facility employee with hammer
NEWARK, Del. (TCN) — A 34-year-old woman has been charged with eight counts in connection with an alleged hammer attack on a storage facility employee.
WDEL reports that on Aug. 18, Amber Goldsborough reportedly got into an argument with an employee at Storage Rentals of America. She was told she was no longer allowed to do business there and allegedly hit the employee with a hammer and tried to choke them. A witness to the argument reportedly tried to intervene and Goldsborough allegedly assaulted them as well.
Troopers with the Delaware State Policewere dispatched to the facility after they received a report of a fight in progress.
When troopers attempted to take her into custody, Goldsborough allegedly resisted arrest, according to police. She was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, second-degree assault, aggravated menacing, strangulation, resisting arrest with force or violence, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, terroristic threatening, and third-degree criminal trespassing.
According to state police, the victim was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and the witness who was allegedly assaulted declined to be treated.
She remains behind bars on $74,001 cash bond.
