Defence Minister Lieutenant General Adul Bunthamcharoen halted his official convoy after encountering a road accident on Wednesday. The crash occurred on Lan Luang Road, opposite Ban Phitsanulok. At the time, the minister was travelling to a scheduled official assignment. He immediately ordered the convoy to stop.
Lieutenant General Adul left his vehicle and inspected the scene himself. In response, accompanying officials moved to assist those injured in the crash. The minister ordered that the victims receive immediate help. He also demanded their rapid transfer to hospital.
Meanwhile, police officers and rescue workers were summoned to Lan Luang Road. Lieutenant General Adul coordinated their deployment while his journey remained suspended. As part of this, he instructed responders to reach the victims without delay. Medical transportation was also placed at the centre of the operation.
Police secure Lan Luang Road as rescue teams prepare injured victims for urgent hospital transfer
Police officers arrived and secured the crash site. In parallel, other officers began controlling vehicles approaching the area. Their deployment protected the victims and emergency personnel beside the road. It also kept passing traffic away from the immediate accident scene.

Minister delays official programme as police, nurses and rescue teams complete the roadside operation
The intervention temporarily halted the minister’s scheduled programme. Nevertheless, Lieutenant General Adul required the accident response to be addressed first. His convoy remained stationary while police and medical personnel completed their immediate duties. The official journey resumed only after the hospital transfer.
The response involved several groups working at the same time. Rescue personnel concentrated on the injured victims. Police, by contrast, handled road safety and traffic conditions. Nurses supported the medical operation before the victims left for hospital.
Notably, the minister personally inspected the scene before giving his instructions. He then coordinated with police officers and rescue teams. His orders covered medical assistance, hospital transportation and traffic safety. Each element was addressed before the convoy departed.
On another front, officers worked to clear the affected section of Lan Luang Road. The accident scene posed a further risk to passing motorists. Accordingly, police managed vehicles while rescue workers operated beside the road. The area was progressively cleared as the emergency response continued.
Adul waits beside halted convoy until injured victims leave for hospital and police control the road
Throughout the operation, Lieutenant General Adul remained outside his official vehicle. He monitored the response and waited for the victims’ removal. At the same time, his remaining scheduled duties were placed on hold. The convoy did not move while the injured remained at the scene.
Once the victims reached emergency vehicles, rescue teams began the hospital journey. Police officers remained behind to control the road. Consequently, the minister could return to his convoy and continue his official programme. He departed after the medical transfer had been completed.
The official bulletin focused closely on the minister’s actions during the incident. First, he stopped the convoy after seeing the crash. He then inspected the scene and ordered immediate assistance. Finally, he remained there until the injured were transported for treatment.
