    Watch: Sarah J. Maas Reveals 2 New ACOTAR Titles in Major Double Book Announcement

    One chapter is all it takes. 

    To fall in love—with a book at the very least. Because we can’t promise you’ll have the same literary meet-cute Dua Lipa and now-husband Callum Turner experienced bonding over Hernán Diaz’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Trust before realizing they were, quite literally, on the same page. More than two years and a glamorous wedding later, their love remains strong. 

    So, it’s safe to say that the couple—not to mention fans looking to follow in their footsteps—are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Diaz’s latest book, Ply (out September 29), which follows an orphan in a dystopian future forced to steal electricity to survive. 

    Of course, he’s not the only Pulitzer Prize winner to debut their latest page-turner. Fresh off her epic Demon Copperhead, Barbara Kingsolver is back with Partita (out October 6), a quieter, piercing dual narrative about a once-ambitious pianist and how she rebuilt her life, and her relationship with her instrument, after her career is cut short.

    Dua Lipa, Callum Turner’s Italian Wedding Includes A Sweet Nod to Their Meet-Cute

    Since fall is truly around the corner, there’s no better time to embrace the witchy energy. And Alice Hoffman, the genius behind the Practical Magic stories, is here to help. The Witches of Cambridge (out September 8), follows Ava and Lauren, two Radcliffe College freshmen who join Lilith Society, a group of witches who help them find their sense of belonging in Cambridge.

    The Witches of Cambridge by Alice HoffmanRelease: September 8This may be the season of Hoffman—and not just because her novel The Book of Magic has been transformed for the screen into Practical Magic 2. She’s also delivering a delightful blend of witchiness and dark academia in this McCarthy era-set novel following Ava and Lauren who are recruited into a society of witches during their first year at Radcliffe College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. However, as members of the Lilith Society begin to go missing, the two are forced to reckon the state’s witch trial past—and whether it’s followed them into the present.

    The Pirate Queen by Ariel LawhonRelease: September 8 The legend of Grace O’Malley, the 16th century Irish heroine is well-documented, from James Joyce’s references in Finnegan’s Wake to Anne Chambers’ definitive 1979 biography, Gráinne Ní Mháille. (O’Malley is often referred to in Irish as Gráinne Mhaol.)
