The Colts have worked their way to 2-2 on the season, but 2026 definitely isn’t unfolding like 2025.
Last year, Jones started the year with 17 total touchdowns against three interceptions during a 7-1 start. This year, quarterback Daniel Jones has three touchdown passes against four interceptions — and four total touchdowns against seven turnovers.

Dating back to last year, Jones has thrown an interception in five straight games. It’s tied for the longest streak of his career. Via NBC Sports research, the last Colts quarterback to throw an interception in six straight games was Curtis Painter in 2011.
In 2025, Jones’s strong start ended with a thud when the Colts played at the Steelers. Jones had five turnovers (along with a touchdown pass and a touchdown run) in a 27-20 loss. Although the Colts beat the Falcons in overtime the next week, the wheels came off after that game.
A win in Pittsburgh this week could be the thing that changes everything for the Colts, and for Jones.
