Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard officially completed his goal of making 100,000 three-pointers during rehab from his torn Achilles.
Lillard is one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. The 36-year-old spent the last season on the shelf after tearing his Achilles in the 2025 NBA Playoffs with the Milwaukee Bucks.

After signing with the Blazers last summer to spend the season on the shelf, the guard set himself a goal of making 100,000 three-pointers once he was allowed back on the court. Now, he’s smashed it.
The Trail Blazers shared a video of Lillard after he completed his set goal of 100,000 made threes, with the guard discussing the process that brought him to this goal.
“Every morning, I was coming in, doing my rehab, and getting up shots. After I was cleared to do basketball activities, I was getting 150-200 makes. I thought I was really doing something because it had been so long since I got some court work in.”

“Once I got to about 8,000, let me try and make 100,000 by next year. We started tracking every workout we did, and today was the day I finally crossed over the 100,000 mark.”
Lillard’s trainer then revealed that the guard had made 11,000 three-pointers in August 2026, showing how comfortable he has become on the court.
The 100,000 shots aren’t just standstill open shots from different spots, but include entire shooting drills, with Lillard shooting around an average of 80-85% over these 100,000 makes.
The guard is expected to be on the court for the season opener in October, which would be 18 months after he initially got hurt in April 2025.
Lillard demanded a trade out of Portland in 2023, landing with the Milwaukee Bucks against his wishes.

After a bad tenure with the Bucks, which was marred (and ended) by injuries, Lillard re-signed with the Blazers on a three-year, $41.6 million deal to return to the franchise people joked he would never leave.
The all-time leading scorer in Blazers history will don the jersey once more when the season starts and hopefully be able to lead the team forward after they made the playoffs without him last season.
The Blazers open their season against the Phoenix Suns at home on October 21.
