D4vd’s Final Texts With Celeste Rivas Hernandez Before Death Revealed

Rivas Hernandez later texted him that she would “end your career and your life.”

The next day—on April 23, 2025, the day prosecutors claim she was murdered—Rivas Hernandez asked to see D4vd, saying she would give him “1 more chance” to tell her the “truth” and allegedly threatened to “leak all of the s–t” on him if she saw him with the friend again.

Texts from later that night show that D4vd ordered an Uber for Rivas Hernandez from near her Lake Elsinore, Calif., home to his residence in West Hollywood. He texted her at 8:34 p.m. with updates on the Uber, to which she replied, “okkk.”

At 10:01 p.m., she texted him, “girly pop im almost there open your door if you are home,” to which D4vd responded, “got you,” adding about 10 minutes later, “gate open door unlocked.” 

Prosecutors said that Rivas Hernandez never sent another text, per People. 

Uber recordsindicate the car arrived at D4vd’s home around 10:10 p.m., according to a brief submitted by prosecutors and reshared by Courthouse News Service. 

Officials believe she died between 10:10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., at which point D4vd then texted the teen asking where she was. 

Prosecutors wrote in the brief that these messages were “part of defendant’s premeditated plan to cover up the murder, as she was already dead by this time.”

“In fact, defendant drove to Santa Barbara County immediately after the victim died, attempting to dispose of her property and destroy evidence,” the brief continued. “At approximately 11:30 p.m. on April 23, 2025, he drove away from his home as he texted and called the victim’s phone, asking where she was. Again, these were acts calculated and planned to set up his defense within a very short timeline after the victim’s vicious murder.”

D4vd texted her at 11:37 p.m., “bro,” then minutes later said he would call someone because “ur scaring me,” according to People. Finally around midnight, he texted, “where are you please.”

Using cellular analysis of D4vd’s phone and the modem inside his Tesla, prosecutors allege that he drove to Santa Barbara on April23, before making another trip between May 8 and May 9 and one more on May 31, according to CNN.

The stretch of area is the same one on which Rivas Hernandez’s discarded passport was found by a state employee. California Highway Patrol Officer Sean Buenrostro testified, per CNN, the ID card was found along Highway 154 north of Santa Barbara. 

Following the end of D4vd’s preliminary hearing, Los Angeles Judge Charlaine Olmedo ruled there is enough evidence to put the singer on trial for the killing and dismemberment of Rivas Hernandez, according to the Associated Press. 

The news comes days after a previous batch of texts between Rivas Hernandez and D4vd were released that indicated she had gotten pregnant with his child a few months after beginning a sexual relationship in November 2023—when she was 13 and he was 18. According to the text, she ultimately had an abortion. 

D4vd texted her in January 2024, “im sorry again baby I didn’t want to ever put you through this,” and she replied, “no it’s ok we both aren’t able to take care of it,” per NBC News.

However, seven months later she expressed regret over how she “took an innocent life of a literal baby,” per the outlet.

“I care abt u i killed my kid [for] you,” she wrote to him in August 2024. “i don’t like talking about it cause it gets [me really] upset but id do anything to have it back.”

D4vd was arrested in April 2026 and charged with one count of murder, one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14 and one count of unlawful mutilation of human remains, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

He pleaded not guilty, with his attorney Marilyn Bednarski arguing that it was too difficult to determine when or how Rivas Hernandez died due to the decomposed nature of her remains.
