Watch: Why Jamie Foxx Was “a Little on the Fence” About Having a Baby at 58
Corinne Foxx has fully relaxed into married life.
In fact, nearly two years after she tied the knot with husband Joe Hooten, the daughter of Jamie Foxx is so comfortable in her relationship that she nearly forgot their upcoming milestone.
“I almost forgot we have our anniversary coming up,” Corinne quipped to E! News’ Erin Lim Rhodes in an exclusive joint interview with her dad. “Thank you for reminding me.”
As for why the 32-year-old is so easy-going about this newest phase of her romance?
“We’ve been together a long time,” she explained, “so, I feel like the transition into marriage was so easy.”
Still, Jamie—who said he gave a 22-minute speech during Corinne’s September 2024 wedding—fondly reflected on the ceremony, recalling the day as the “most beautiful wedding ever.”
Of course, Jamie’s bond with Corinne—who he shares with ex Connie Kline—wasn’t just on display during her wedding festivities. Indeed, their partnership as co-hosts of the Beat Shazam game show has strengthened their relationship over eight seasons.
“Eight years is a growth,” the Oscar winner shared. “To watch your daughter, your child, grow into something special, where she starts off like any rookie, but once she gets on camera, everything’s right? And then by the third, fourth year—boom, boom, boom—doing it, and that’s part of your family? That’s what’s great.”
For her part, Corinne has also learned from her dad while working on Beat Shazam, currently airing on Mondays and Tuesdays on FOX and available the next day on Hulu.

“I grew up going to set with my dad and watching him work from behind the camera,” she said, “but then to be his coworker and [see] the level of professionalism, but also [see] he’s so light and so funny. I learned that you don’t have to be so serious to be great at your job.”
Corinne added, “You can set the tone for everybody on set and he does a great job at doing that.”
The 100th episode of Beat Shazam airs Sept. 7 at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
