The ACC offered some compelling games in Week 9 of the college football season, starting at the top.
No. 1 Miami narrowly avoided a massive upset, defeating North Carolina 38-35 after a pair of late scores (and a pair of botched onside kicks by UNC).

The Hurricanes will likely remain at No. 1 in the US LBM Coaches Poll thanks to its 8-0 record, but there are questions surrounding the team before it faces Notre Dame in a top-10 ranked matchup in Week 10 with ESPN’s “College GameDay” in town.
SMU could also fall in the top 25, after its upset 30-27 loss to Syracuse on Saturday, Oct. 31. The ACC’s other ranked team, No. 15 Wake Forest, took care of business, however, destroying Virginia 51-7.
Then there was Clemson vs. Florida State, two teams in various states of being beleaguered. Ultimately, Dabo Swinney and the Tigers emerged victorious, 36-24, putting even more pressure on Mike Norvell as the Seminoles weigh his future in Tallahassee.
