LAWRENCE — Kansas basketball’s Big 12 Conference schedule for the 2026-27 season has been announced.
The Jayhawks, according to a KU release, open their 18-game Big 12 slate with a Jan. 2 home game against West Virginia. As conference play unfolds, the matchups against rival Kansas State will take place Jan. 23 on the road and Feb. 27 at home. The regular-season finale for KU in the Big 12 will be on March 6, on the road against Baylor.

Kansas will continue to draw a lot of attention to its program this season, both because coach Bill Self is back after considering retirement and because the team brought in 247Sports’ No. 1 recruit in the class of 2026, Tyran Stokes. Stokes, a freshman guard, has the potential to carry this team to Big 12 and national success. But he’ll need to deliver consistently, and everyone else on the roster will have to step up as well if that’s going to happen.
