Watch: Chase Stokes Details His Liver and Kidney Failing After ‘Outer Banks’
Chase Stokes is throwing out this social media take.
The Outer Banks star recently slammed the “funny” rumors he has undergone plastic surgery, which he said he considers the “most ridiculous assumption” about him online.
“On the record, I will say it, I’ve never had any work done on my face,” Stokes confirmed during a Sept. 1 episode of I’ve Never Said This Before podcast, per a clip shared with People. “It’s so funny to me to see them go into the details of it all.”
Stokes admitted that he’s seen “legitimate doctors” attempt to dissect his aesthetic producers on social media. As he put it, “I’m like, ‘Oh man, you should probably have your license revoked there.’”
“I’ve seen these doctors who are like, ‘He’s got an upper [blepharoplasty],’” Stokes detailed. “And ‘He’s got his lips done.’”
But the 33-year-old isn’t trying to start fights about it in the comments.
“I used to be a little more online with that stuff, but I’ve realized to just shut up,” he admitted. “It’s so tough, but then you realize when you comment, you give them more exposure.”
As for the real steps Stokes has taken to undergo physical transformations? The Uglies alum recently shared insight into his diet and exercise routine after shooting the final season of Outer Banks.
“When I was doing Outer Banks, I was intermittent fasting almost until two o’clock every day,” Stokes told Men’s Health in an interview published Aug. 26. “Just so I could keep the weight off with John B., and I was drinking upwards of a gallon of water in that time to keep myself full.”

But off set, that regimen looks a bit different.
“Now, I wake up at 7 a.m., fast until 10 or 11, and have a hearty breakfast,” he explained. “Then, I go to the gym, and when I come back, I have a protein shake. Later, I have another oomph of protein.”
And since he’s no longer posing as a Pogue, the Netflix star has also beefed up his gym sessions.
“There was a lot of lighter weight, higher reps with John B. to sort of keep that lean look, and now, it’s a lot more of heavy compound lifts,” he shared. “It’s almost sort of mirroring a version of what a wide receiver, or even a tight end, would do. A lot of cleans, squats, Bulgarian split squats, deadlifts. I’m benching for the first time in a long time, trying to hit maxes.”
If Stokes were to ever go under the knife instead of the bench press, he’d be far from the first member of Hollywood to do so. For stars who have had actual experiences with plastic surgery, keep reading…
