Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Cam Jurgens has entered the NFL’s concussion protocol after self-reporting symptoms Monday morning, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Jurgens was evaluated after reporting the symptoms and must complete the league’s return-to-participation process before he can play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. His status will become clearer when Philadelphia begins practice. Entering the protocol does not automatically rule Jurgens out. His availability will depend on his symptoms, progress through the required stages, and final medical clearance. The Eagles are scheduled to leave for London on Friday after completing their primary practice work in Philadelphia.
Jurgens started Sunday’s 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams at left guard and played the entire game. Philadelphia moved the two-time Pro Bowl center to guard after sidelining Landon Dickerson, with rookie Drew Kendall taking over at center. Jurgens is listed as the starting left guard on the Eagles’ unofficial depth chart. The development adds another concern to an offensive line already dealing with significant uncertainty. Dickerson remains on injured reserve, while right tackle Lane Johnson missed the Rams game because of a personal matter. Rookie Markel Bell started at right tackle in Johnson’s place.

Willie Lampkin is listed behind Jurgens at left guard and would be the most direct replacement if Jurgens cannot play. Micah Morris also gives Philadelphia an interior option, although he is listed behind Tyler Steen at right guard.
Jurgens previously sustained a concussion during the 2025 season. He returned the following week after practicing fully and receiving clearance from an independent neurological consultant, but that recovery does not establish a timetable for his current situation. Philadelphia’s offense is already managing injuries to Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert. Jurgens’ addition to the protocol creates another potential lineup change as the Eagles attempt to rebound from consecutive losses.
