Watch: Bunnie Xo Shares How Cameron Diaz Inspired Her Baby Plans and IVF Journey
Bunnie Xo found an angel in Cameron Diaz.
In fact, the Dumb Blonde podcast host revealed that the Charlie Angel’s actress has helped her feel more confident about having a child at the age of 46 after she and ex-husband Jelly Rollexperienced a difficult fertility journey.
“You know who inspired me a lot more too is freaking Cameron Diaz,” Bunnie exclaimed to host Jenna Bush Hager on the Sept. 3 episode of the Open Book podcast. “She just had her third child at like 53!”
Indeed, Diaz—now 54—and husband Benji Madden, 47, announced the birth of their son Nautas in May, with the tiny tot joining sister Raddix, 6, and brother Cardinal, 2.
“I think that’s so inspiring, and I feel like it gives you a purpose later on in life to live for,” Bunnie explained. “So yeah—I will still have a baby.”
However, the podcaster (real name AlisaDeFord)—stepmom to Jelly Roll’s kids Bailee Ann, 18, and Noah, 10—admitted she likely wouldn’t be as open about her IVF journey this time around.
“I just feel like I need to keep it close to my chest, especially right now,” she shared, “because everybody just wants to pin the craziest stuff on me.”
Bunnie added, “But it’s still a dream.”
Shortly after Bunnie and Jelly Roll (JasonDeFord) finalized their divorce, she shared that the idea of having a baby was still at the forefront of her mind, although she didn’t confirm if those plans would still include the “Bloodline” singer.

“I definitely still want to have a baby,” she said on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle in August, “and that’s going to be one of my newest chapters of my next book, and I can’t wait for you guys to read about it because it’s been one hell of a journey, let me tell you.”
And despite the difficulties that come with a divorce, the Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic author still looks at the breakup as a positive experience in her life.
“I know when something like that that’s deeply personal happens, it’s beautifully tragic, but at the same time there’s always a silver lining, there’s always something better to look forward to,” she said. “There’s so much more to talk about with me especially, and with women, than their past lovers and people in their lives.”

And they remain committed to each other.”Who knew that us breaking up in 2018, me moving back to Vegas & you coming to get me back – would have put us on this wild journey called life,” Bunnie wrote on TikTok in February 2023. “We finally committed to each other & did everything we promised each other the first night in 2016. Our castle in the sand had to crumble so we could rebuild on solid ground. I yuh you so mushhh.”
