Hamburg has until June 15 to decide on a permanent deal for Nigerian winger, Philip Otele, DAILY POST reports.
Otele joined the Bundesliga club on loan from Swiss club FC Basel in January.
Die Rothosen paid a loan fee of €1 million for the player.
The North German club will have to pay €4.5 million to sign the versatile winger permanently.
Otele was sent off in Hamburg’s derby defeat to Werder Bremen last weekend, and has been suspended for two games.
He has scored once, and registered one assist in nine appearances for Hamburg.
