BUFFALO, NY — The Boston Bruins (0-1) lost to the Buffalo Sabres (1-0) on Sunday night, but both teams are back for Game 2 on Tuesday at KeyBank Center.
The Bruins had a lead in Game 1, and Marco Sturm said that the Bruins “were exactly where we wanted to play,” but the Sabres scored four goals in the last eight minutes and beat the Bruins 4-3.

The Bruins’ penalty kill went 4-for-4 in Game 1, and Sabres fans booed their power play off the ice. David Pastrnak scored with 6.2 seconds left in the first game, which was on the power play, and the Bruins finished 1-for-3 on Sunday.
Jeremy Swayman stopped the first 32 shots he faced, but the last eight minutes of the game did not go the way he planned.
On the other end of the ice, the Bruins only got 20 shots on Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, and he stopped 17. It was his and many of his teammates’ first playoff game.
The second line went minus-3 during Game 1. After the morning skate on Tuesday, both Pavel Zacha and Viktor Arvidsson talked about playing a more aggressive game, and Arvidsson added they focused too much on the defensive side of the game.

“No, I just think we kind of played, I believe, we played [with] a little bit too much passiveness,” Arvidsson said. “And we’ve got to be more aggressive, I think, and we almost played too much defense, I think, compared to what we have played during the year.”
“So I think we can do a better job of being aggressive.”
The Bruins skated at KeyBank Center at 11:30 AM on Tuesday.
Marco Sturm announced that there will be no personnel changes ahead of Game 2.
