Watch: How Britney Spears’ Ex Sam Asghari Feels About Her Seeking Treatment After DUI Arrest
Sam Asghari is sharing his prerogative on Britney Spears‘ latest chapter.
The Traitors alum weighed in on his ex-wife voluntarily checking herself into a treatment facility following a March DUI arrest, saying he’s pleased that Britney is focused on “healing and great things.”
“I think it’s great,” Sam told TMZ on April 22. “And as long as the person is in charge of that, it’s all good.”
It’s a sentiment also shared by Britney’s other ex Kevin Federline, with whom she shares son Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.
“Kevin is aware of the reports that she has checked into rehab,” his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan told the outlet earlier in April, “and that if she needs help, he is happy that she is getting help and that the decision appears to be one that she made and not one imposed upon her by others if it was.”
He added, “The key is that whatever the recommended treatment plan is that she follows it and completes it.”
Britney was arrested in California for driving under the influence on March 4. Following her release from police custody, a rep for the “Toxic” singer told E! News, “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.”

“Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law,” the spokesperson continued, “and hopefully this can be the first step in long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life.”
And while Sam has not spoken to Britney, who he divorced in 2024 after 14 months of marriage, he hopes nothing but the best for her. As he told E! News in March following her arrest, “I wish her the most success and recovery.”
“I think privacy is the most important thing when it comes to that,” the Jackpot! actor said, adding that he that Britney should have “the privacy she deserves.”
