Watch: Britney Spears Details “Spiritual Journey” After DUI Arrest, Treatment Facility
Britney Spears is at a crossroads—and she’s looking for encouraging signs along the way.
Two months after the 44-year-old was arrested for driving under the influence, after which she checked herself into a treatment facility, Britney reflected on a special moment she experienced with her kids Sean Federline, 20, and Jayden Federline, 19.
“Went to the pet store with my kids,” she captioned a May 10 post in which she held a small yellow and white snake. “And look at what a beautiful baby snake this is… snakes are symbolic of good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck.”
In fact, the encounter with the reptile made her reflect on the bigger picture.
“I’m so damn thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey,” Britney continued. “All a blessing in disguise. I still have to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself… It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile on!!!!”
Britney’s heartfelt message comes just about a month after her rep confirmed to E! News on April 12 that the “Toxic” singer had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility.
Previously, Britney’s rep had expressed her hopes that the arrest would mark a turning point in the singer’s life.

“Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life,” the rep shared with E! News on March 5. “Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
Thankfully, her inner circle—including Sean and Jayden—would be by her side every step of the way.
“Her boys are going to be spending time with her,” Britney’s rep continued. “Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for her well-being.”

And among those cheering her on is the father of her children Kevin Federline, to whom the Grammy winner was married from 2004 to 2007.
“Kevin is aware of the reports that she has checked into rehab,” Kevin’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan told TMZ in a statement published April 13, “and that if she needs help, he is happy that she is getting help and that the decision appears to be one that she made and not one imposed upon her by others if it was.”
He added, “The key is that whatever the recommended treatment plan is that she follows it and completes it.”
