For the third night in a row, tens of thousands of Milwaukee Brewers fans packed American Family Field on Wednesday night, Oct. 28, to watch their favorite team fight for its first World Series title.
About 31,000 people walked through the gates for the Game 5 World Series watch party, the same number of fans who attended Games 3 and 4.

After a disappointing Game 4 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays in extra innings on Oct. 27, the Brewers announced a Game 5 watch party Oct. 28, with tickets for the general public going on sale at noon. They sold out within minutes on the Brewers’ website, and started appearing on resale sites with hefty markups.
The cheapest available ticket on StubHub as of 5 p.m. CST, when gates to the ballpark opened, was $106, after taxes, for a seat in Section 439, which is left of the scoreboard-turned-television-screen. Seats directly facing the screen cost between $170 and $250.
Those who paid those high prices did so hoping they’d witness history.
Milwaukee has a 3-1 series lead over Tampa Bay, with ace Jacob Misiorowski on the mound after the Brewers threw away their 12th-inning lead with sloppy defense and poor bullpen pitching. A Brewers win in Game 5 would mean the franchise’s first World Series title.
