Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski left Game 5 of the World Series on Wednesday, Oct. 28 with a cramp in his right leg.
It might not matter.
The Brewers were leading 4-0 when Misiorowski was removed with two outs in the sixth inning. The right-hander held the Tampa Bay Rays to only two hits to that point in the game.

“Obviously (Misiorowski is) dealing with leg cramps, but I was just told it was something that just came on suddenly,” Fox Sports dugout reporter Tom Verducci said during the game broadcast. “He had not been dealing with any lower-body issues during the course of this game. It was just that one pitch.”

The Brewers lead the best-of-seven World Series 3-1, and will clinch the championship if they win the game.
Misiorowski was the best pitcher in baseball during the regular season, but had looked beatable at times in October.

The 6-foot-7 righty threw 94 pitches in a 4.1-inning start in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series against the Dodgers. Misiorowski allowed five hits and three walks, but the Brewers’ bullpen locked down the win.

Misiorowski practically abandoned his breaking balls in Game 1 of the World Series, throwing fastballs and cutters on all but 13 of his 78 pitches. That was enough to win anyway, as the Rays touched him for only one run in five innings.
Wednesday saw Misiorowski pitching at peak form, throwing 86 pitches across 5.2 innings. Apparently only the 86th and final pitch gave him an issue, but that was enough for Brewers manager Pat Murphy to give the game over to the bullpen.
