Brandel Chamblee has been one of LIV Golf’s fiercest critics over the past four years.
Chamblee has consistently criticized LIV Golf for the way in which they tried to buy success.
Their non-meritocratic approach to the game ensured that golf fans failed to resonate with the league.

In fairness to Brandel Chamblee, he has not once changed his very firm stance on LIV Golf as an entity.
Chamblee claims LIV Golf has caused the game a ‘dangerous problem’ due to the fact that they ‘irreparably tilted the game towards greed’.
And now the outspoken golf analyst has twisted the knife even further into LIV.
Chamblee made an appearance on the We Need a Fourth Podcast, and he responded when asked whether he believes there is actually anything good that LIV Golf has done for the game in general.
“No. Not one,“ Chamblee said.

“Unless you consider, you know, the amount of money that professional golfers have made, that’s good for them, but I don’t know that that’s inherently good for the game of golf.
“Yeah, I’ve always said that we should never b—- about what athletes get paid or entertainers get paid. The market determines what people get paid.
“It’s not some arbitrary group, but in this particular instance, I wouldn’t call what the Saudis did as the free market.
“Because it was more about obfuscation, it was more about sports-washing. It was more an irrational behavior in the market that disrupted it that led to such elevated purses.

“So is that the free market? I mean, we could have a few drinks and talk that over, but, no, there’s not a single thing that LIV did that was beneficial to the game. It tilted it irreparably towards greed and caused a lot of discord in the game in the process.
“There was just nastiness after nastiness and it brought people into the game that, let’s just say were not consistent with the traditions of the game of golf.“
Chamblee is obviously very biased in his views of LIV Golf as a whole.
However, it’s very hard to argue against the points he has made.
Sure, there are some golf fans out there who enjoy watching LIV Golf, and good luck to them.

That said, the league has failed to achieve what it wanted to when it came onto the scene in 2022.
LIV Golf failed to succeed with the financial backing of the most financially powerful sovereign wealth fund on the planet.
The PGA Tour has clearly won the war with LIV Golf, and Brandel Chamblee will obviously be delighted about that.
