Watch: Bonnie Wright Reveals Favorite “Harry Potter” Spell
Bonnie Wright has been dealing with a difficult situation.
The Harry Potter alum shared that her and husband Andrew Lococo’s son Aster, who was born on Sept. 28, has been making repeated hospital visits due to an undisclosed health issue.
“Our sweet little Aster has been to the hospital 6 times in his 5 weeks of life,” Wright posted to Instagram Nov. 6 alongside a photo of herself holding the newborn, whose face she covered with a white heart emoji. “Getting treatment for a condition we knew he’d be born with. He is such a strong, chill little baby.”
While the 35-year-old did not share details about Aster’s condition, she didthankfriends and family for their help in caring for his 3-year-old brother Elioduring this challenging time.
“Feeling so lucky to have such supportive family and friends,” Wright added. “Helping take Elio to preschool, cooking us meals, checking in on us. The village is possible, text/call your pals.”
The Hello Earthling founder and Lococo—who married in 2022—announced Aster’s arrival on Instagram in October, sharing a few snaps of the newborn with his family and his big brother.
“Named after the star shaped flower,” she wrote. “Our little star has been showered in love by his big brother Elio. Thank you universe for my loving bundle of boys!”
Shortly before Aster’s birth, Wright reflected on her final months of pregnancy, especially how different the experience had been compared to her first child.

“This pregnancy has been physically harder,” she wrote in a July post on her Substack. “I’m chasing a toddler, I’m three years older, I’m running on considerably less sleep than I’d like to admit.”
And becoming a mother also gave the former child star a new perspective on her life, admitting she used to believe that she had to land “somewhere definitive” in order to feel like she was gaining clarity.
“Motherhood has slowly, persistently taught me that nothing is actually that finite,” she confessed. “We are always in progress. Sometimes things move forward and sometimes it genuinely feels like a billion steps back and both are just part of it.”
