They already dealt for Tyler Fitzgerald and Lenyn Sosa this season. On Saturday, they added another deal, getting Luis Urias.
Urias comes over from the Arizona Diamondbacks‘ organization. He’d been playing at Triple-A, where he had a .361 average and .939 OPS so far this season.
He will be coming to MLB to be with the Blue Jays’ roster, and he brings a great glove.
Urias also has a .707 OPS in 582 career MLB games. He’s not a bad hitter.
Against left-handed pitching, in particular, Urias can be a useful starter for his bat.
