The Chicago Blackhawks (3-8-0) close out their seven-game homestand on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings (3-5-2) at the United Center. The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on CHSN.
Tuesday marks the first of three meetings between the Blackhawks and Kings in the 2026-27 regular season. Los Angeles hosts the second matchup on Feb. 13, then the series finale returns to Chicago 13 days later on Feb. 26.

The Blackhawks enter Tuesday’s game riding a three-game losing streak, which has dropped them to 31st in the league-wide standings through 11 games. Last time out, the Hawks fell 3-2 to the Florida Panthers on Sunday, with missed chances and a 0-for-7 power play costing them two crucial points. Ryan Greene and Roman Kantserov scored, while Spencer Knight stopped 31 of 34 shots.
The Kings are coming off a 6-3 win over the New York Rangers on Monday and face the Blackhawks in the second game of a back-to-back. Los Angeles concludes its five-game road trip in Chicago, with a 3-1-0 record in the first four games. All three of the Kings’ wins this season have come on the current road trip.
In Monday’s win over the Rangers, former Blackhawks forward Artemi Panarin tallied a goal and an assist, while future Hall of Fame defenseman Drew Doughty recorded three points (1G, 2A). Taylor Ward, Brandt Clarke, Mikey Anderson, and Joel Edmundson (EN) also scored in the win. Darcy Kuemper stopped 23 of 26 shots in net.
For the third straight game, the Blackhawks will face an opposing team with an injury-plagued forward group. The Montreal Canadiens played without Nick Suzuki and Ivan Demidov on Friday, while the Florida Panthers were down Aleksander Barkov and Brad Marchand on Sunday. Kevin Fiala, Mats Zuccarello, and Illinois native Alex Turcotte are not expected to play for Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s matchup is intriguing, with the Kings (.400) and Blackhawks (.273) ranking 30th and 31st, respectively, in points percentage among all NHL teams so far this year. Both clubs desperately need two points but are trending in different directions. Los Angeles has seemingly found its stride on the road trip, while Chicago has stumbled during its homestand.
Will the Kings continue to roll, or do the Blackhawks get back on track?
Here’s everything else to know before the puck drops at 7:00 p.m. CT in Chicago.
