Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer considers Jürgen Klopp “absolutely the right man” to get Germany back on track after their third straight World Cup flop.
The former Liverpool boss is widely expected to be unveiled on Friday to succeed Julian Nagelsmann, who resigned after the last-32 exit to Paraguay.

Despite Klopp’s rivalry with Bayern from his time as Borussia Dortmund coach, where he beat the Bavarians to two Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012, Hainer has no doubts about his pedigree.
“I think it is a good solution,” Hainer told reporters on Wednesday.
“When you look at the national team’s performance at the last three World Cups, it now needs motivation and a sense of a new beginning,” Hainer explained.
“We do have good footballers. And I believe that Jürgen Klopp is absolutely the right man. He has had tremendous success at all the clubs he has worked at – Mainz, Dortmund, Liverpool.”

The 59-year-old “brought the fans with him. He brought the players with him and took the whole club with him each time. I think that will also do the Germany job well.”
For Hainer, Klopp is “a people-person at every level.”
The Bayern chief added: “He can win people over to his ideas. He can inspire. And he can inspire a team in such a way that it gives more than 100% on the pitch.”
Klopp has been working as global head of soccer at the sports arm of Red Bull since leaving Liverpool in May 2024 when he said he wanted a break from coaching.
He is now set to sign a contract with Germany running until the next World Cup in 2030.
