La Liga giants Barcelona have added an altogether high-profile name to their list of targets to reinforce the heart of the club’s defence. This comes amid the understanding that the Blaugrana have set their sights on Willian Pacho.
Pacho, for his part, is widely regarded as one of the standout centre-backs in world football at present.

The Ecuadorian was a key figure in Luis Enrique’s PSG side’s back-to-back triumphs in the Champions League over the last two years, starring alongside Marquinhos.
Safe to say, then, that it would likely require a monumental fee to convince those in a position of power at the Parc des Princes to part with their defensive stalwart.
But as alluded to above, this has not stopped Deco and the transfer team at Barcelona from earmarking Pacho as a potential future addition. As per a report from Fichajes, citing journalist Ekrem Konur:
‘Barça are considering making a move in January to negotiate for Willian Pacho. A key player for Luis Enrique at the newly crowned European champions, where he is under contract until 2031, the transfer appears highly unlikely.’
The Blaugrana brass, though, nevertheless appear ready to test the resolve of their PSG counterparts.
