Former Sevilla midfielder, Steven Nzonzi, has picked the player to win the Ballon d’Or this year.
According to Nzonzi, Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe deserves the Ballon d’Or because he performed the most last season.
“The Ballon d’Or should be for the best player or the one who has performed the most, and I think there has not been anyone like Kylian,” Nzonzi said, via Mundo Deportivo.
“I respect everyone’s opinion, but that is mine,” he added.
Mbappe was exceptional at the 2026 FIFA World Cup as he won the Golden Boot award for the top scorer.
The France captain has been impressive for both club and country since he joined Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain, but he has not yet won any major trophy.
