Ballon d’Or 2026: ‘He has been exceptional’ – Allen on award winner

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea forward, Clive Allen, has backed Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

According to Allen, the England captain has been exceptional for the past few seasons.

Kane scored over 70 goals for club and country last season and also won the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich.

He is one of the favourites for the prestigious award after an extraordinary 2025/26 campaign.

“I believe Harry should win the Ballon d’Or, yes and purely because of what he has achieved,” Allen told Press Association.

“When you look at Ballon d’Or winners over the years, they have always been exceptional in what they have achieved.”
