Former Brazil striker, Sonny Anderson has named Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé as the likely winner of the Ballon d’Or on Monday.
According to Anderson, Mbappé will finish in first position in the Ballon d’Or ranking, while Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal will be in second position and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane will be in third position.
“For my podium, third place would go to Harry Kane, because of what he’s done with Bayern, scoring so many goals, and with England, he deserves to be on the podium,” Anderson told Téléfoot.
“Number two, Lamine Yamal. When he dribbles, when he passes, it makes me dream.
“But for me, number one is Kylian Mbappé. As a goalscorer, you can’t dream of anything better.”
Mbappé finished as top scorer at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, winning the Golden Boot ahead of Argentina’s Lionel Messi.
The France captain also finished as top scorer in the Champions League and LaLiga last season.
