Watch: Will Taylor Frankie Paul’s ‘Bachelorette’ Season Ever Air? Disney Exec Says…
Jake Pavelka has officially landed the one.
The Bachelor alum—who proposed to Vienna Girardi on season 14 in 2010, but called off their engagement just three months after—married his fiancée Aimee two years after meeting on a dating app.
“I wasn’t sure I would get married—and then I found Aimee,” Jake shared in an interview with People published June 8. “It almost doesn’t seem real. There’s a sense of peace and certainty that comes with knowing I get to spend my life with my best friend.”
Though Jake, 48, and Aimee, 41, spent six hours together on their first date after matching on Bumble in 2024, they opted for an “intentionally small” outdoor nuptials in Santa Barbara, Calif. As Jake put it, he wanted the wedding to be like a “gathering in our living room.”
For her part, Aimee wanted their big day to be focused on the extraordinary bond, too.
“Jake has a way of making even the ordinary moments feel special,” the bride, who works in the aerospace and defense industry, shared. “I’m so grateful that we get to build a life, create memories and grow together through every season ahead.”
In fact, she noted that the Dallas-based couple made it a priority to hire local vendors, including Californian wedding band Radio Prophets.
“Jake is an entrepreneur, and my family is made up of small business owners,” Aimee added. “It felt like a meaningful way to celebrate the values that have shaped both of our families.”
And it’s been a year of celebrating love for Jake and Aimee, who got engaged in 2025 after a night out at Drake’s Hollywood near their Texas home.
“We went and had a great dinner and laughed and had champagne,” Jake recalled in a February interview with People.

“Then we took an Uber back to our apartment. I had rose petals on the ground and a table set up with candles. We walked in the apartment and she was like, ‘What’s going on here? Did somebody break into our apartment?’ She was looking at a table trying to figure out how a candle got lit.”
“When she turned around, I was down on one knee with a really pretty ring, and I asked her to marry me,” he continued. “She kind of gasped and then muttered yes. It was sweet and intimate. I definitely made the right choice keeping it private. It was a really special moment.”
The two marked their engagement with a beachside photo shoot shared to Instagram on Valentine’s Day, with Jake writing in the caption, “I’m engaged to the most beautiful woman in the world and my best friend.”
