B.C. destinations dominate list of Top 15 Resorts in Canada

It’s no secret that B.C. has a bounty of amazing getaway destinations. But a recent roundup of readers’ choice picks by Condé Nast underscores the idea.

Eleven destinations in the province were named to the Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards list of Top 15 Resorts in Canada. One of them actually came in at No. 1.

Tofino’s Wickaninnish Inn was named the top reader-picked resort in Canada for 2026. The oceanfront property, located at Chesterman Beach, is a luxury Relais & Châteaux resort renowned for its cuisine and winter storm watching.

Second on the list is Nita Lake Lodge, which is located in Whistler and offers a boutique, lakeside hotel experience.

Perhaps predictably, Whistler and Tofino destinations dominate the list. But there are also a few lesser-known outposts in the mix. Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa took the No.4 spot on the list. The resort, which is located on Vancouver Island near Comox, is known for its unique hydrotherapy experiences. Hotspots in Desolation Sound, Sonora Island and Brentwood Bay further built out the B.C. presence.

The Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice are selected from survey results sent to hundreds of thousands of readers who rate their international travel experiences.
