Auburn basketball dropped its second game in its trip to Greece, 70-68, in a rematch with KK Mega Superbet on Sunday. The Tigers won the first matchup between the two teams on Saturday with a convincing 92-71 victory. It should be noted that Tahaad Pettiford only played in the first quarter and Kevin Overton sat for the final 17 minutes of the game.
Newcomer Bukky Oboye led the way in scoring for the Tigers with 17 points and hauled down 8 rebounds. Troy transfer Thomas Dowd had another solid performance with 8 points and 18 rebounds. Overton scored 11 points in the game on 4 of 6 shooting and connected on all three of his free attempts. The other Tiger that finished in double figures was South Alabama transfer Adam Olsen with 14 points.

Head coach Steven Pearl praised KK Mega Superbet in limiting the Tigers to just one shot possession early in the game. Turnovers were also an issue for Auburn with the team committing 22 versus just 14 for their opponent.
“They did a good job of limiting us to one-shot possessions early in the game. We had way too many turnovers, and without Tahaad and (Overton) in the second half, that was to be expected,” Pearl said. “I thought our guys competed, but we just didn’t make the shots we made last night.”
Auburn shot 22-of-61 for 36% after shooting 48% on Saturday.
Auburn did trail by nine points late before making a comeback. With 7:44 remaining in the game, the Tigers were down 64-55. They had a chance to win the game with the final shot, but Caleb Wilson was unable to connect on a three-point attempt to make the final 70-68. Auburn was again without Narcisse Ngoy, Mantas Rubstavicius, George Kimble III, and Owen Freeman. They went with the same starting lineup as Saturday except they swapped out Wilson for Olsen.
