Paul Ibe, media aide to the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to a viral video showing President Bola Tinubu appearing to lose his balance after the Akwa Ibom State presidential rally.
The video, which is currently circulating on social media, captured the moment the president appeared to stagger while walking towards his convoy after the campaign rally.
The footage has since sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms, with several Nigerians raising questions about Tinubu’s physical fitness and ability to continue meeting the demands of the presidency.
Reacting in a post shared on his X handle, Ibe questioned the president’s ability to withstand the demands of the presidential campaign and serve another four-year term.
He urged the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, and the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu, to advise him to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race.
He wrote: “Tinubu’s latest campaign appearance raises a question the APC can no longer brush aside. Is he up to the demands of another presidential campaign and a second term?
“Aunty Remi and Seyi, you are among those closest to him. Give him the honest counsel his party seems unwilling to offer. Urge him to step out of the race with dignity.”
