Watch: Ashley Tisdale’s Being Frenshe Company Reaches $250 Million in Sales
Ashley Tisdale is feeling fabulous over this news.
Four years after the High School Musical alum launched her wellness brand Being Frenshe—which offers body care, hair care, fragrances and home products and lip care—the company has officially exceeded $250 million in sales.
“I’m so proud of what we have built,” Ashley shared on Instagram April 28, “and am forever grateful for everyone who has believed in me and loved the products.”
And reaching this milestone is one that the 40-year-old almost couldn’t believe, especially after she went through the experience of shutting down her makeup line Illuminate in 2020.
“There were so many red flags, and it was very stressful. I just felt like it was probably the biggest failure in my career thus far,” Ashley told Women Wear Daily in an interview published April 28. “I was totally turned off about coming out with products ever again.”
But once the pandemic hit, the Suite Life of Zack and Cody alum—who shares daughters Jupiter, 5, and Emerson, 19 months, with husband Christopher French—launched her lifestyle blog Frenshe, which proved to be “a space for me to get excited and inspired again, to just connect with people.”
That passion led to the Disney Channel alum partnering with beauty brand incubator Maesa to bring Being Frenshe to life.
But even with a successful brand, Ashley is still careful about the moves she makes with the company.

“I want to take my time. I want to make sure we’re making the right moves and not over-saturating the market,” she explained. “We can’t be going into different categories just for fun, right? Everything has to be authentic and right for the brand.”
Plus, everything has to feel right for Ashley herself, who has a hand in most everything Being Frenshe does, even coming up with the brand’s signature Cashmere Vanilla scent after being inspired by the smell of “Trader Joe’s jasmine rice cooking in my kitchen.”
“I’ve been someone who’s obsessed with candles and fragrance,” she said, “but to create a line that people love and go on TikTok to share how much they love the scent, it just makes you feel so good.”

In fact, the line has even made Ashley question how she actually feels about returning to acting after stepping away from the screen in recent years.
“It’s funny when people ask me the question at events, ‘Do you miss acting?’ I’m like, ‘No,’” she admitted. “I love acting. I’ve done it for so long, but I’m acting out someone else’s words, and I’m playing a character.”
“With this, I get to be myself, I get to create experiences for people, and it has a more meaningful effect,” she added. “I feel like I’m finally stepping into my power, which I think, I used to be scared of that.”
